Wall Street Global, an Institutional Fund Supermarket and financial service provider to Financial Institutions outside the United States, announced today that Benjamin Cross Sevilla has joined their Advisory Board. Mr. Sevilla, Executive Vice President of Broadband Philippines, brings over 18 years of global banking and technology experience to the Board.
Mr. Sevilla has extensive experience in the fields of telecommunications, banking and technology. Presently Executive Vice President of Broadband Philippines, Mr. Sevilla was recruited to develop and implement a new business strategy for the company. He has been a key factor in their success in his role managing strategic initiatives, business alliances, prime client-supplier relationships, key site acquisitions and supervising both financial planning and development of new products.
Prior to Broadband Philippines, Mr. Sevilla held the key expatriate post as the CEO and Country Manager for Bank of Boston where his primary responsibility included the bank’s US $220 million Philippine loan portfolio. Mr. Sevilla also managed three Asian regional units during this time, including Investment Banking, Private Banking and Risk Review. Earlier in Mr. Sevilla’s career, he acted as Vice President for National Westminster Bank in London, UK and New York City where his primary responsibilities included direct control of their US correspondent bank’s relationships, including a US $350 million loan portfolio of ‘Fortune 500’ accounts including Citibank, AT&T, IBM and Bank of Boston. Other notable credentials include Assistant Vice President of Philadelphia National Bank, Chairman of the Offshore Bankers Association of the Philippines, Senior Advisor to the Committee on Banks of the House of Representatives and current Advisor to both China Broadband Network, Ltd and Asiacast.
Mr. Sevilla’s education includes BA Economics from De La Salle University, Pennsylvania School of Banking, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University, NY in the Executive Program for International Managers.
